Looking down at the recent years Call of Duty, in my eyes, hasn’t been at the up most, mainly blaming Activision. Call of Duty today is one of the most popular video games of all time to date. They have earned billions of dollars in revenue. So what can the problem possibly be? The problem, is repetition itself, not only in the games, but the developers as well. To well reason my point, compare all off the Call of Duties from 2009-2015. The only differences are the graphics, maps, guns, storyline, and some physics in the game. So what’s the problem? It is the same changes over and over again. Call of Duty seems, in my eyes, to have lacked effort to developing the game for a player. DLC is another issue, things that should’ve already came in the game are only in it for a price! You pay $59.99 in U.S for a hyped video game, to then know, all the new maps and guns you want you’ll have to pay for. It honestly reminds me of Destiny, in the end, you as a consumer, are paying for a title, not a game. People bought Destiny mainly because Bungie was a developer. Bungie are the developers for the infamous Halo games. To then know 1/2 the game is DLC, and the gameplay is “repetitive”. My point is, call of duty will never feel the same, as for what it did in 2008 and before.
