USPS is run horribly, bleeds money, and is inefficient. Is it time to let the private sector handle our mail?
The private sector has delivery services. (Fed Ex, UPS, etc.)…
They DON’T do what the Post Office does. That is: Deliver to EVERYONE, ANYWHERE.
The Post Office also did completely fine on their finances until in 2006, the Republican Congress (in an effort to gut the USPS) passed a law that mandated that required the USPS to pre-fund its Retiree Health Benefits Fund for more than seven decades out into the future – all within ten years.
