Feel free to include actual brand, or not, I’m not the ice cream police!
I’m a sucker for anything with caramel. Americone Dream is great.
There’s a gelato place down the block from me that not only has great gelato, it does new creative flavors each week. My favorite so far was chocolate chili pepper. Which sounds awful, but was fantastic.
Oh give me a break. Is there anything better than good ol’ vanilla? Unless it’s that new flavor Ben & Jerry’s is releasing. They’re calling it Bryan Williams Smorgasbord of Chunky Red Velvet Caramels and Bananas with Acai Swirls and Chia Sprinkles…but it’s actually just…vanilla.
This question falls in the silly category, in my humble view. There are many excellent flavors, and I wouldn’t want to live in a world where I had to limit myself to any one, even if I felt at a given moment that it was my favorite. If forced to name one right now, I would say strawberry, but on another day I’d choose another. I had ginger ice cream once, and it was a memorable experience.
Swensen’s Ice Cream: Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Swiss Orange Chip
Baskin Robbins: Rocky Road
Trader Joe’s: Coffee Ice Cream (they absolutely nailed it)
Double Rainbow: Cinnamon Caramel, Cappuccino Chocolate Crunch, Coffee Almond Fudge
Ben & Jerry’s: S’mores, Mint Cookie
Haagen Dazs used to make a flavor called Cappucino Commotion that was awesome, and I don’t drink cappucino or any coffee products cause they are gross but I lurved that flavor…where did it go and why?
C’mon. It’s mint chip. Obviously, vanilla has its place, but the world is full of mediocre vanilla. Even a subpar mint chip tastes good.
And I forgot Baskin Robbins’ Pralines and Cream which is delish. But I adore B&R mint chip (which is more like mint chocolate shavings) so that usually wins out. Sadly the two flavors don’t go well together if you wanted to have a 2 scoop sundae, say.
