Should people start only eating plants?

May sound terrible, but it is the food change and it is kept that way for a reason, humans are the dominant species and we are not inherently herbivores so therefore by the laws of nature we hold the rights to eat animals below us on the chain. So from a logical point of view it is just fine.

Oh my life, don’t listen to this idiot.

How is about you post a meaningful reply instead?

Honestly I agree. I think it’s normal to eat animals below us on the food chain and it’s the way humans were supposed to be. There are predators and prey everywhere, like how mammals eat other mammals or how sea animals eat other sea animals. That obviously doesn’t mean you eat your own species, which is cannibalism, but you eat OTHER animals. Also is anyone going to acknowledge how asians are starting to eat fetuses in soups? FETUSES. As in soon to be babies that are still in your stomach..

Well, if people start eating only plants, then the’re will be less plants in the environment, not only for humans but animals too, and a lot of animals need plants to survive.

And not saying that killing animals is okay, but in reality most people take care of animals because through them they’ll have food to eat, and mostly dairy. They make sure to keep them healthy, and for that they’ll be able to reproduce healthy.

Not just food that animals are able to provide, but also help human with living. 🙂

You can plant more plants. You can’t plant more animals. Animals have to do that themselves and if we eat so many animals, there will actually be no more animals left. I know it sounds like I’m a vegetarian but I’m actually not. This is just something for you to acknowledge.

Breeding? I mean, trees drop seeds, and animals drop babies (don’t look in to that)
farms can be used as breeding grounds and people are making sanctuaries for animals

Isn’t it crucial? I mean yeah there are people who over do it, but it kind of is a big part of how the world works. If everyone stoped eating meat, stoped killing animals it would be claustrophobic. If we stoped then the animal populations will boom, you would think that sounds good but no. With the high population of humans and animals plants would run out relatively quickly which would be our only food sourse.

So i believe its okay for us to kill animals for us to eat. Believe it or not, but Cows need the help of humans to give birth to their children. There would be no point to keep cows if we won’t eat them. If you want to try meat, I suggest trying Kosher meat. Even if you’re not religious, Kosher meat must go through certain steps to ensure its suitable for the consumption of the religious. Cows are treated more humanely and are separated from the room of other cows before they’re killed in order to cause no stress to them

Vegetarians complain about how much pain all the animals go through when becoming food but honestly things like these happen everyday to animals not just by humans. It’s part of the food chain. All animals eat other animals and it’s just the way they work. Predators catch prey. It’s the way of living for these animals. It’s just that humans doing it to animals is somehow worse than these things happening everyday because it’s your own species doing these cruel things to the animals but honestly you’re not going to convince every single human being to become vegetarian.

Gamebird made such a great argument on a website made for arguing on, totally not just commenting what he thinks with no reason as to why he/she thinks this whatsoever

We are designed to eat meat. It is scientifically observable by the fact that we have some sharp teeth designed for tearing flesh. Also by the fact that we require B-12 which is most abundantly found in meat. Yes, we technically can survive without meat by using supplements, but they are more expensive than meat. An entirely vegan world would result in the death of every poor person. It would be foolish to allow our sympathy for animals to override our natural necessity for eating meat. Emotions cloud judgement. I agree that we could treat our farmed animals better for the sake of sympathy, but we would be risking our species by removing meat from our diets.
