Feminism, revised ideology. Is Feminism Wrong?

Since the early 1900’s, men have been always socially obligated the majority of the time to hold open doors for women; ladies first, and to never hit a women. If “Feminists” want equality so bad, why can’t women be the ones equally socially obligated to hold open a door for men? I believe, women have been socially privileged ever since the early 1900’s. Have you (the reader) ever seen a women drop her coat on a puddle for a man to cross? Feminists always seem to bring up the “Pay Gap”. Let me address this now, here is a brilliant example, Modeling. Women are paid significantly more than men in modeling due to high demand and rarity. Another example, the porn industry, where again, women are found to be paid a lot more than men due to demand and rarity. Correlation doesn’t equal causation, the reason there is a drop in the business is because they are hiring female employees over male employees solely based on gender not quality of work, therefore the efficiency of the business drops. Feminists only argue for equality when it suits them. “Men can’t women?” let’s switch over to this topic. I believe in equality, not feminism. If a woman were to punch a man for not doing what she wanted, for example, generally, the man is “supposed” to not hit a woman back. I believe this is wrong, If you are trying to fight with a man, you will get treated like a man. If you are trying to fight with a women, you will get treated like a woman. More or less, whoever starts an issue is fully responsible for whatever events can/will occur to them. Basically, “You get what you deserve.”

You believe in equality but not feminism. The problem is that you, and many men (and some women), believe that feminism is all about women being treated exactly like men. I don’t understand why you need to use the same example as “oh, a woman can hit a man but not the other way” or that “men have been holding doors open for women”. So what? It is not acceptable for anyone to hit another person, simply put. But we cannot ignore the fact that a man, on average, is physically stronger and can therefore cause more harm to a woman. In the same time, a man can withstand a hit from a woman (this is a poor argument but only raised to show why the difference exists).

You say that men are expected to open doors for women–well, this is a social norm based on the principle that a man is physically stronger and can therefore open a door for someone. It is a social norm for men to open doors for other men. Does someone need to be strong to open doors? No. Will you sleep better at night if women open doors for you? I’m really confused.

The pay gap exists although it is getting better. Now, if you are working at a job with a fixed wage/salary, typically you do not find gaps in pay between men and women. However, the problem becomes evident when we are dealing with higher paying jobs that require some negotiations. Some have argued that women do not negotiate as aggressively as men do. This may be so. However, we know that business/corporations have been cutting any corner they can to save money throughout history. “Why pay a woman the same as a man when you believe she will be leaving to be a mother at some point?” This is a prevalent argument raised by many companies. You complain why women get paid higher in modelling and in porn?!? It’s the same reason men get paid big bucks in sports. Like you said, rarity and high demand. Case closed.

You might it surprising that I am man and I am more than annoyed at men like you who whine and complain about women and feminism as though it’s some disease that’s inflicting your life. You use examples that are not even real issues (opening doors, seriously!) and you equate that with the real issues some women face in society. Maybe you need to see it to believe it. I don’t know, but in the mean time you should be more concerned about what kind of man you are.

The mere fact I never stated as door opening as an “Issue”, and the introduction to the door opening as a real issue conflicts with your argument. My guess, is you are one of the many feminist activists, which there nothing wrong with that to begin with. Your beliefs are truly yours and all who want to believe. I am not stating or saying in any way or form that all feminists should rot or become non-existent. I do stand corrected from my argument on the pay gap, as I’ve come to realize it doesn’t actually exist. I can prove that with logic right now stating the following example. (If a company pays every man $10.00 and to women $7.00 for every hour worked for the same occupation, companies would only hire women as they would make a huge market benefit, companies are really anal like that. And the same ideology vise-versa.) My argument is towards Feminism because I believe it is wrong, which is my belief. Feminism is not a “disease that’s inflicting your (my) life.” It is simply inflicting with my beliefs, which no one has to care about because “It is my belief”. I am only here to argue for what I believe in, and being more concerned to what kind of man I am? A statement Irrelevant and irrational towards the topic of the argument. Let’s not forget the goal of Feminism to begin with, simply, “equality”. Simply by biology, men are physically stronger then women, but that doesn’t give a woman a free ticket to evade a conflict with a man to begin with. I believe whoever the aggressor in a conflict starts a problem, deserves what gets to them because they shouldn’t have started a physical conflict to begin with. Regardless of what gender you are. You get what’s coming to you. A new point, women have rights which men to do posses as well (speaking within the U.S). I can state 5 legal rights women have simply because they are women that men do not have.
1. Women are almost granted custody of children by default unless the man can prove to is unfit to part.

2. “Women get more leaniant sentences for equivalent crimes, see estimating gender disparities and federal criminal cases” by Sonja B. Starr

3. A woman can get a male co-worker fired from his job simply by accusing him of sexual harassment, even without proving it.

4. In California, a woman can declare a man to be the father of her child and sue him for child support. and it is up to the man to take a DNA test which he will only have 30 days to do so, even if the man proves to not be the father later, he can still be sued.

5. A woman can sue a sperm donor for child support. Even if she stole the sperm donation.

Companies ARE really anal like that. Since companies are a reflection of the society they operate in, business heads (who are mostly male) have a belief that a man is worth much more than $10 per hour and is therefore a bargain.

Where societies are structured differently, such as Iceland, the wage gap is much smaller particularly with the population under 35.

Is this because Icelandic women are naturally much smarter than women from other countries?
